Fired After On-The-Job Injury
In Texas, an employer may not discriminate against, nor otherwise terminate, an employee who was injured on-the-job, reported the injury, or testified in a proceeding related to a job injury. If you were injured on-the-job, and the employer had workers' compensation insurance, the employer may not discriminate against you or terminate you because of the injury, or report of the injury. If you report a job injury to your manager and the manager harasses you, or otherwise looks for reasons to terminate you, you may have a claim. If you are harassed or terminated because you report, or sustain, an on-the-job injury, contact The Law Office of Jeffrey A. Goldberg immediately.
